Pigs in blanket and sprouts?

Can I roast sprouts and pigs in blanket together in the same dish?

Have found recipes for roast sprouts with bacon so this is similar with addition of sausages?

yuck, you will ruin the sausages....u shouldn't let a sprout with 10 miles of one or anything else for that matter except maybe my compost heap.

never heard of anyone roasting sprouts before. Cabbages are similar and never heard of anyone roasting cabbages either. Sprouts are normally boiled, yuk, or boiled for few mins and then fried with bacon and maybe chestnuts (just about edible)

Either fry raw halved sprouts with chopped chestnuts and chopped bacon for 3-5 mins, using rendered bacon fat to flavour sprouts

Or steam sprouts and roast pigs in blankets seperately

The sausages in the pigs in blanket will be too greasy to cook them with the sprouts, plus some mad people don't like sprouts

Roasted sprouts are lovely, so yes I'd bung them in together.

Mind, I'm one of those who'd eat the sprouts and leave the pigs in blankets

I love both roasted or pan fried sprouts but really don't like them boiled.

Sorry, not a Brit so don't really do boiling any veg Wink

Will try and report back

Don't boil sprouts, it ruins them, it turns them into a soggy sulphurous mess ( of most peoples memory) rather than crunchy juicy tasty green bundles of loveliness.

You can get away with steaming them as they don't sit immersed in water.

I bungee mine in together today. 25 minutes and they were perfect.
