Talk to me about sprouts and bacon!

I've bought sprouts, chestnuts and smoked bacon lardons for Christmas dinner cos I had that combo in a restaurant once and it was all very yummy!

However I've only just realised that I dunno what the chuff I'm gonna do on Christmas morning with them! Do I just boil the sprouts then fry them with the bacon and chestnuts? Any other way to make them taste amazing?

I've found a recipe on pinterest for sprouts and bacon. Apparently I shall be throwing them in a dish with olive oil and roasting for 30 minutes. I'm hoping it turns out fine as I haven't done practice run Confused

I shred the sprouts finely, don't precook, but stir-fry just before serving with bacon (and I use pine nuts).
Yummy.

I cut the bottom off the sprouts so that you end up with individual leaves. Chop the bacon into lardons and chop the chestnuts into quarters. Pan fry the bacon and chestnuts and add in the leaves. Fry off a bit.

That's it. Far, far nicer than boiled sprouts

Mary Berry has a nice recipe. Simmer the sprouts until just tender (5 mins) , drain and reserve. Then get the bacon bits and some finely chopped onion going in a separate pan with a knob of butter and fry until starting to crisp. Add the chestnuts and drained sprouts, toss together until heated through, season and serve
