shall I just pop it in the oven as it is or has anyone got good tips to make it even nicer?

yes thank you, I sort of mixed two different recipes together... thing is I'm trying to imrpove my roasting skills...

I nearly always roast meat on vegetables, usually a chopped onion, carrot and celery. So the bottom doesn't dry out and you can make a really tasty gravy with the meat and veg juices
Nigella suggests bayleaves with pork, thats nice. I like fennel and garlic best with my roast pork.
