Hi :)
I am planning on roasting parsnips for Xmas, I will cook them from frozen (parboiled) but want to add maple syrup to them, would you do this at the start of cooking, or halfway through or towards the end?
Thanks

I don't know but they sound amazing!

i do honey ones. i put honey, olive oil, thyme, garlic and some chopped onions in at the start - so imagine same would be true of syrup - adding at start

I'd add it near the end.

I'd do it when they're hot, but other than that I'm not sure it matters exactly when.

I've made caramelised parsnips, with sugar added at the start, cover with foil until parsnips are soft, turn and uncover to brown.

Thanks, looking forward to trying them!
