My new resolution is too from scratch more often. What do you regularly cook from scratch?

I do chilli, spag bol, curry, stew and lasagne from scratch.

The rest of my meals are made up of things like pesto pasta, fish fingers.

What do you cook on a weekly basis?

Stir fry's, soup, cakes, biscuits. I cook everything from scratch except for bread. The food tastes better is more nutritious and in most cases is quick to make.

How much from scratch cooking are we talking about? I do spag bol one of 2 ways depending on how rushed for time I am. (one using no jars/mixes and one with slightly less veg and a packet mix chucked in) I still use a jar of white sauce for my lasagna though.

Mainly its things like that, I do most of it myself and add the odd jar or packet mix here and there. To me that counts as from scratch as I've packed it out with fresh veg. Just have to watch the salt content for DD. DH is fussy and won't eat chips and whatever often so I have to get creative with what I can do. Don't even think I have fish fingers or nuggets in the freezer. Poor DD is a deprived child Blush

Proper from scratch I do...
Sausage ratatouille in the oven (posh sausage casserole)
Roasted Mediterranean veg
Corned beef hash
Stuffed potato skins (cheese, ham and spring onion)
Wedges
Meatloaf
Chicken Ragu
Homemade burgers (beef or turkey)
Herbie potatoes (cubed, drizzled with garlic oil and mixed herbs and baked in oven. Nice alternative to chips and no need to par boil or anything)
Shepherds Pie (Technically should be cottage as I use beef mince)

I do mini pizzas too out of tortilla wraps but I do use a jar of kiddies pizza topper so not sure if that counts.

I'm always on the look out for new recipes some work for us some don't and sometimes I throw things together and hope for the best. I did a very nice sausage casserole last week with the remaining veg in my fridge. But the pasta bake I did the other night did not go down well. Confused
