Best nut brittle recipe?

I'm thinking of making some nut brittle this afternoon. Not made it before but I think it should be pretty easy.

Can anyone suggest some tried and tested recipes?

Isn't it sugar, water, boil, turn brown, add nuts, pour onto greasy tray?
