gingerbread house help please :)

For yonks I've wanted to make one... I do not want to buy a kit to glue together if the kid on the waitrose advert can make gingerbread so can i

But how do I make it into a house?

Fool proof recipe and cutter recommendations please?!

Aldi have ready assembled ones. They had plenty there today.

If you do it yourself you need to cut it all. I used grease proof paper as templates. You need quite thick icing sugar for sticking. A helper is good to hold it while it sets.

It was a nightmare last year as my icing sugar mix was too runny. But, I'm still doing another this year!
