Just wondering about this because this week DS at the age of 2 and a quarter has decided that he likes chicken. He licked a bit once or twice about 18 months ago but it has been met with a resolute 'no like' since then. Anyway, the deciding factor in his change of heart was DP presenting him with said chicken and announcing it was 'frogs'. He has now enjoyed several meals of frogs in the last week. who could have predicted? Just wondering if there are anymore weird and wacky tips out there.

yes, i tell you what works a treat every time without fail in our house....
"dont you dare eat that..."
"no dont eat it because its for***"
"no way will you ever ever eat that bit in a million zillion years, its far too big for you..."
All in a comedy warning voice.

Or put a piece to one side of the plate and say in a very dramatic voice "im putting that bit there for me in a moment, i hope that no one eats it..."
Then he will snatch it up and eat it giggling....look really shocked and put another piece to one side and repeat....plate cleared!!!
We do all sorts in our house, we just make it fun.

We were going to the theatre the other week and mine were playing up eating their dinner so I told them that they scan your tummies when you go into the theatre and if your tummy isnt full enough they don't let you in It worked with DD but DS1 looked very suspiciously at me

If I tell DS that I'll give his dinner to the cat he'll eat it up super-quick!

As a child my Gran told me that her home-made blackcurrant jam (which I refused to eat) was crocodile jam and I ate it.
