Hi, I have a 15 month old son who has recently the last week or so is not intersted in eating at all - i have made everything possible but he keeps on turning his nose up at it!! He has been teething for the last two days so maybe that has something or a part in it?? Is this normal - are there stages like this where they just dont want to eat much for an entire week?! He has been snacking a little bit but not the extent as normal - i know everyone says dont worry but I think he is not eating enough!

VAN1, dd's 18 months and every time she's got some serious teething going on she goes off her food. She's been suffering today and has eaten nothing except a couple of yoghurts a bit of pasta and some milk to drink. It is frustrating but it WILL pass once he feels more comfortable. Does he get bad nappies when teething? Dd does, really runny and strong smelling and I'm sure it makes her tummy feel unsettled and puts her off her food. It can often go on for longer than a week.

like evita my dd too goes off her food regularly and i think she is being fussy or difficult but invariably it comes back after 2/3 days and she eats ( not a whole lot in general i add, thats another story!)
she presently has the 2 incisors coming thru, so i try not to get upset over the lack of food intake and let her tell me when she wants something.
its upsetting for you as u think they'll starve or it'll affect their teeth bones later on etc but he come round.
