tinned lychees

I need 'eyeballs' for a halloween recipe but can't find tinned lychees.
any ideas?

If they have to be sweet and you don't need that many or mind a bit of manual labour then peeled grapes might work.

If savoury you could use pickled onions. Can't think of anything else.
