Fondant halloween figures - how to store in advance, please?!

I'm making a cake for next Friday but would like to make the decorations now, I keep reading conflicting info about storage: in an airtight tub or between kitchen paper, can anyone help, please? Thanks!

Don't store them in an airtight plastic box as they will sweat and spoil. A cardboard box or similar to keep them dry and dust free is best

Definitely a cardboard box, I do this all the time. I keep an old cake box just for this purpose.
