I've just chucked a handful of popping corn in my slow cooker soup by accident - thought I'd grabbed the broth mix. Will it stay rock hard and break my teeth or will I have popcorn soup?

I think it will stay rock hard as I reckon it needs much more intense heat to pop. Could you sieve it out? Don't blend it before you've extracteed it if it doesn't pop!

Let us know what happens - actually popped pop corn would be quite nice as a soup garnish.

Think I'm going to have to blend - was planning a rustic chunk soup but don't want to risk teeth! Just had a peek and still hard. Shame, was quite curious about popcorn soup.
