Low carb diet help

DH has announced he wants to go on a low carb diet. We both want to lose weight and will be more successful if we do it together but I am not keen on this idea.

We have obvious dietary changes we can make, as we eat too much rubbish and large portions, so there is scope to lose weight just by cutting down on that.

The thing that puts me off low carb is the substitutes. I am really not keen on nuts, seeds, pulses etc. Is it a complete ban on all carbs or can you still have small portions of things like brown rice, wholegrain pasta?

Does anyone have any tips on how to realistically make this work?

Check out the low carb and low carb bootcamp sections - they are under the weight loss section in mn, and have a great wealth of info of low carb
