Top Bananas Potato & Chickpea Curry question

Got myself the Top Bananas book last week and I'm making the "Kid-friendly potato & chickpea curry" on pg 99.

In the ingredients list, it says "200ml vegetable stock". Step 3 says, "Now add the tomatoes and about half the stock" but doesn't mention the other half at all in the recipe. I've added half and it's a little thick. Shall I just see how I get on and add more if needed? I'm not sure why the recipe doesn't just say 100ml if that's all that's needed!

I took it to mean add the extra to loosen until you get the consistency you like- so when it looked a bit thick I added a bit and so on until cooked.

Can you let me know what it's like? I'm tempted by this recipe but unsure

I wasn't a huge fan of it- far better recipes for kid friendly curries IMO. I found it bland and the children still turned their noses up. But it was worth a try and other recipes in there are now family favourites Smile

I added a little more stock 10 mins or so before the end as it was looking a little thick.

marmalade, DS liked it. He finished his plate! I thought it was OK. It's very, very mild. Almost like you might as well just add curry powder and stock and forget all the rest. There doesn't seem to be many flavours going on when you eat it. I've had more enjoyable veg curry recipes such as JO's rogan josh curry in his 30 Minute Meals book. There's quite a few nice sweet potato curry recipes on BBC Good Food which are a bit more flavourful.

Ah, thank you. My weird children like spicy food so I think I may look at another recipe.
