About to start making dinner, trying out a new bolognaise recipie.
It calls for '1kg (2.25lbs) passata or chopped tomatoes'.
So I have tins of tomatoes and cartons of passata....how much should I be using?
Maybe it's obvious and my brain isn't working, had a busy day!!
Thanks for help :)

It should have the weight/volume on the side of the can/bottle/carton.

Thank you 4merly, I have just realised that the measurements on the sides of the cartons are indeed in grammes.....I was convinced they would be in ml and wound myself up trying to work it out before I even looked!! Sorry for such a dumb question Blush and thankyou for helping! Smile

For your purposes, gms = ml. 1000ml of water weigh 1Kg.
