Easy Minecraft birthday cake?

My son loves minecraft and I know he would be so chuffed with a minecraft birthday cake, does anyone have any ideas of any easy one I could do? I'm fine with actual baking, but decorating I'm not quite so good at (but not terrible!)

A basic Minecraft block?

How about a plain white square cake with the red squares on it...the same as the 'cake' block in Minecraft, like this.
