More chairs ( begged and stolen from others) to get everyone round the table

The Big piece of MDF we put over my already large table ( and cover in grans linen tablecloth to hide it's shabbiness !) so we can get everyone round

Guess who gets quite chubby at Xmas?

FrankButcher · 28/09/2006 12:13

I'm avoiding all this for that very reason SS.
I hate the self loathing and rounded arse that are inevitable byproduct of such feasting.

This year am going to invite lonely Nigerian students to my home and make it a purely spiritual experience.

Enid · 28/09/2006 12:15

we get very parsimonious at xmas

everything is leftovers for days

dh gets wine and smoked salmon from work and we live off that

also I use my nectar points which I have saved since last xmas

it all works out quite cheaply

we don't tend to have massivel boxes of chocs

FrannyandZooey · 28/09/2006 12:16

a satsuma in the toe of your stocking
