Quick nutritious breakfast ideas

I am now fighting the teenage sleep issues and finding the kids don't have time to eat enough before running out to the school bus! We generally aren't a family that is good in the morning so I would appreciate people's tasty, healthy(ish), filling but moreover quick (or able to prepare the night before) breakfast ideas! Thanks!

Banana on toast. Add a layer of peanut butter if you like it.

Get some decent bread - one that has seeds and stuff in it. Top toast slices with:

  1. peanut or other nut butters. A smear of jam makes it less claggy. Almond with cherry jam is my daughter's favourite, I like pumpkin seed butter with ginger jam or lime marmalade.
  1. smear of marmite and cottage cheese.
  2. Spready cheese (eg dairylea triangle) and a slice of ham.
  3. Humous and sliced tomatoes
  4. Tinned fish like sardines mashed into a paste. Peppered or smoked mackerel whizzed to a paste with some horseradish is good - can make the pate the night before.

Other quick breakfasts - scramble eggs in the micorwave in 1 1/2 mins. Eat straight form the bowl. Add in veg such as mushrooms, spinach, tomaotes as desired.

Overnight oats - google or pinterest for pretty pictures. Soak porridge oats overnight in milk/ fruit juice/ yoghurt. Add fresh fruit/ nuts in the morning.
