Hi, I have a similar problem. No advice I'm afraid but I'd also be interested in recipe suggestions.

I am this year trying ripening green tomatoes in a brown paper bag with a banana or two. Apparently it helps them to ripen. Don't know if you do this already but could help you to reduce the number of green toms you've got?

Slice them. Dip in egg, then dip in corn meal flavoured with lots of salt and pepper. Fry them in olive oil (or bacon grease, but I'm vegetarian) until they are crisp on the outside and cooked through, which takes a little while. They are delicious like this.

clara - maybe i didn't cook them long enough as mine weren't very nice. roughly how long?
