I need a sauce or something to go with egg noodles, but before I go shopping thought I'd get some suggestions from here first.
I don't really like anything too hot/spicy. Doesn't need to be particularly adventurous, just cheap and simple. Doesn't need to be a home made recipe, something from a bottle/jar would be fine. Have you tried anything recently that you like and can reccommend?

I'd get a stir fry mixed bag .. boil the noodles in stock .. make the stir fry with garlic, chinese 5 spice and splash worcestershire sauce .. optionally add prawns or cooked chicken .. mix the 2 together (keeping some of the stock) and you have a wagamama style noodle dish

roast a leg and thigh piece of chicken in the oven (marinate it first with some ginger, garlic and soy sauce and a wee spot of honey).
boil the noodles, steaming some broccoli on the top of the water if you have a steamer thingie or just drop them in and boil alongside. shred the chicken including the skin, toss some sesame oil in with the noodles and broccoli and mix the whole lot. sometimes i squeeze some lemon in as well. add more soy if it needs it.

4 tbsp coconut milk
2 tbsp peanut butter
1 tbsp rice vinegar
1 tbsp soy sauce (light)
1 tsp light brown sugar
1 stalk lemon grass (I use the ones in a jar cut up small)

mix together.

Yummy

This is enough for one rectangle (out of the packet) of dried egg noodles or one portion of straight to wok noodles.

oh and after noodles are cooked put in wok with the sauce and toss for 2 minutes.

I also wok strips of beef, red pepper, beansprouts, spring onion, garlic, ginger and chili to go with it.

Thanks for all the suggestions - yum!
