Pork leg joint - how to cook it?

I've got a pork leg joint in the freezer that needs cooking. Last time I cooked one, it wasn't good at all, just too dry. I know it can be a difficult cut to cook, any ideas?

I put mine in a covered dish and cook on gas mark 3 for 6ish hours for 1.5kg. Then I take it out and shred it with two forks and put in another dish, cover with gravy and mix it in so its all covered.

I put it back in the oven on slow setting until the potatoes and veg are ready.

I tend to serve it with mash and veg like a roast dinner. Whatever is left I put in the fridge for the next day with baby new potatoes and veg.

Its also lovely in fresh crispy rolls.
