I keep seeing them everywhere, has anyone had them? I don't think I get it... Fish in taco shells just sounds plain weird to me; am I missing out on something?

Really? No one's had them? That's a shame, I don't want to spring them on the family and cock up expensive fish I'd they're not nice Sad

Jamie has them in his Save with Jamie book. He uses salmon and crispy salmon skin in soft tortillas rather than the crispy shells.

I've done pulled pork ones, they are nice. I think they do fish ones in Wahaca.

I love fish tacos. I had them in Mexico and they were delicious.

However, the hard taco shell available here is not what tacos are about in Mexico. Little corn or wheat tortillas are what are used.

The ones at wahaca are breaded fish plus other bits. Personally, I just cook some mackerel then flake it and add it to chopped tomatoes, chilli, spring onions and coriander, give it some seasoning then wrap and eat.

Wow, thanks! It was the idea of those odd crunchy taco shell things that was putting me off, I think. Breaded fish in soft tortillas sounds much more appealing... and I'll have a look for that Jamie recipe next time I go to the library Smile

Gwyneth Paltrow's recipe is a bit time consuming but sooooo delish!
