Is a Kitchenaid mixer worth it?

I have Kitchenaid lust and really fancy a Kitchenaid Artisan Mixer. It would have to be a Christmas present (expensive) - is it worth it?

No. I find it very limited in what it can do. Get a Magimix instead. Magimix can grate, slice, pulse, blend, make bread dough, fantastic gingerbread dough, mix general cake mixes etc. plus it has a lid so your cake mix doesn't redecorate your kitchen walls. I really don't get on with Kitchenaid - much happier with my Magimix.

I love mine, use it all the time. Plus it looks great in my kitchen!

Love my KitchenAid Artisan. It's so sturdy and does actually do everything, only you might have to get additional bits for different functions. It makes fantastic coleslaw. And it looks blooming good!

PS what colour are you getting?!

Yes
I had a Kitchenaid classic and have now upgraded to a kitchen aid heavy duty ( I run a cafe and do lots of baking )

Yes but get a Magimix too Grin

I think I like the Apple Cider and Pistachio Green. Both really nice.

Ooh yes, both lovely colours! Quite different though? The pistachio is a classic vintage look; the apple cider more unusual but harder to match. How exciting!

Yes, well worth it. It makes beautiful cakes and looks gorgeous on the worktop. It's very strokeable Smile

We're getting a new kitchen. I want to see it finished before I decide.

Yes, I love mine. I mainly use for cakes/biscuits/bread dough, but you can buy attachments that mince meat or do pretty much anything really.
