my husband wont eat spaghetti bolognese like the rest of us will tonight, so i have taken some chicken breasts out of the freezer to do for him. But I am at a loss for what to do with them. Want to include pasta as that is what else I am cooking anyway. He doesn't like anything too herby/spicy and is pretty boring when it comes to food to be honest (meat and 2 veg man really!) Short of grilling the chicken breasts and serving it with plain boiled pasta I don't know what else to do!! He is finicky with pasta sauces as well. Men!!

hulababy, good idea about the meal planner.

hulababy · 26/09/2006 16:26

AAW - ou'll have to give the 10 meal ideas plan a go now, and post back here to see what he comes up with.

Nice to see womens libbers are out again....

Blimey folks how childish are you being? FGS OP only wants to cook her hubby a meal he will like and eat. What's so bad about that?

Get a grip purlease.....

Bozza · 26/09/2006 16:48

I think the problem was he was quite fussy - not just that he didn't like spag bol, but that he didn't like pesto, sweetcorn, pasta sauces and so on...

Hula came up with a good idea though.

no offence taken! everyones entitled to their opinion. In the end I did spaghetti bolognese for me and chicken, roast potatoes and steamed veg for hubby and kids. I froze half of the bolognese so i can have that another day. Am just working out my meal planner now hulababy!!

AAW - what kind of things does he like? We can help you with a meal plan if you wanted?

Northerner · 27/09/2006 10:11

By womens libbers batters I meant telling hubby to cook his own dinner. Why does it make a woman a doormat if his wife is happy to amke a seperate dinner for him? If she's happy to do it?

Not saying yuo called him a doormat btw.

speedymama · 27/09/2006 10:36

I could not understand why some posters had to write bitchy comments. What is wrong with a husband and wife having roles that they are happy to do? Equally, I wonder how many of the critics would happily eat something that they did not like? I am fussy about certain things, DH know what they are and so does not cook them for me and vice versa.

I'm glad that you found a suitable compromise anyway AAW.
