Been making some damson gin recently, which reminded me I've some damsons in the freezer which until recently were flavouring last years gin. I wondered if anyone could recommend a recipe for a fruitcake to use them in please?

I tried using used sloes once......they were disgusting! All the flavour has gone out into the gin and all you are left with is alcoholic (yes) disgusting mush (no thank you).

I made blackcurrant gin and used the blackcurrant mush once I'd decanted the gin in a really lovely clafoutis type thing. It worked well and took away the sharpness of the blackcurrants. So I don't see why it wouldn't work with damsons too....
BBC Clafoutis
Or chocolates....sloe chocolate
