Pear Crumble Anybody?

Just been given a few pears by my neighbour though probably not enough for a whole crumble.
What fruit could I use with the pears?

Tbh usually find pears a bit bland!

nigella has a pear and chocolate crumble!

Or blackberries would probably work too!

I was just about to suggest brambles too! Especially if you have some ground almond to go in the flour mix for the crumble topping and Demerara instead of white sugar, it will be anything but bland.

Delicious, add a little ginger t o the pears, IMO doesn't need anything else except custard.
