Hulababy, I think Im fairly close to you, south yorks anyway. How do you find Farm around North? Im currently searching around for one and would prefer to go by recommendation.

Riverford are bad on food miles, though, and recently there was a story that they sent out chickens with Sainsbury's labels on, when they were supposed to be organic, free range birds from properly researched sources!

Yes there is an issue with food miles if you use them in London (we're in the south west where they are based), but the environmental impact is still much lower than supermarket goods -and this is something they are aware of and addressing by trying to set up similar box schemes rather than expanding without limit - and they are a co-operative of farmers, unlike Able and Cole.

And I think farmaround are just at farmaround.co.uk - at least they were when we used them.
