Best Low Fat Spread for Cake Baking

I picked up a copy of a magazine that had a special issue with diabetic friendly recipes - DH just diagnosed Type 2.

All the baking recipes just say to use low fat spread but don't specify a brand.

When I look at the low fat spreads in Sainsburys they all say not suitable for baking - any suggestions about what works? I'm planning on doing a Victoria sponge type cake filled with macerated strawberries and Emlea whipped cream for a bit of a do this weekend.

don't use low fat, taste not great which is then usually offset by adding more sugar.
just eat a smaller portion.
fat does not play as much havoc with blood sugar anyway.
