Your favourite freezer recipies

Do you have a favourite recipe for a main course that you can freeze ahead?

Am fed up with convenience foods but work f/t and never have time during week to start from scratch. I reckon i could do a big cook a couple of times a month and fill the freezer- any ideas?

THat is exactly what I am starting to do and it is also saving us a fortune!

I do a massive pan of tomato sause and liquidise lots of veg into it, then use it to make Lasagne, spag bol, chilli (one of which I make with turkey mince to cut down on the red meat) and freeze some just as sauce to use on pasta.

Also make enough white sauce for the lasagne to make Maccaroni Cheese and add lots of veg to it as well as the maccaroni.

Also freeze things like salmon into portions to just grill.

I bought some great dishes from Asda (think they are pirex) where they are a glass dish that is oven, dishwasher and freezer proof with a plastic lid to put in the freezer. Really good for things like lasagnes and mac cheese as you can take them out in the morning and then put them straight in the oven.

Hope that helps. I will keep my eye out for any other suggestions as I need some too!!

As long as it is in the dishes already ie the lasagne or mac cheese as I tried to just freeze some extra to use in the future but it just separated and was lumpy.

The lasagne and mac cheese are a bit thicker than if you make them and eat them straight away, but I like them that way rather than runny so it doesnt worry me!
