I'm making soup. Making it up as I go along tbh, so I thought I'd chuck some yellow split peas in the pot, planning on simmering it for 45 mins or so until they were cooked.
Then I read the label and it said to soak them for 24 hours in advance...
Do I fish out each and every pea? Or if I just simmer it for ages (how long?) will it be ok?
