Freezing broccoli and cauliflower

After some tips on how to freeze these veg. I boiled some a few days and froze it after draining. Got it out this morning to defrost and when it defrosted it was all soggy and still full of water. Any advice?

Blanch it n boiling water for one minute and the plunge into iced water immediately. Dry off on clean tea towels and freeze in flat trays. Once frozen can be bagged.

Thanks - sounds like I shouldn't have boiled it loads before freezing it then. Will only blanche next time!
