There's one you can get in asda (or there was back in May) that has rainbow layers inside - if that helps?

NerfHerder · 13/08/2014 19:43

there are some excellent pins/blogs about the process, and also some v helpful threads on here (MN).
I am trying to recall the name of posters that have made... maybe wigeon, and someone beginning with 'oli' but my brain's fried tonight, I'm afraid.

NerfHerder · 13/08/2014 19:47

Ok.. this thread has info re pastes/colouring

and this is wigeon's thread too... though I think there's another, as I'm sure I was on on about it, but cannot find, sorry

Lakeland have new shallow cake pans ( set of five) to make a layered cake, if you meant the cake to be rainbow colours rather than having a rainbow on the top.
Try searching Pinterest for zillions of ideas!

brilliant. annoyingly she doesn't actually like cake, just the whole candles, singing and licking icing bit.

the things we do.....

Only just noticed this thread. Did you make it?

I made this one ages ago. I used regular sponge cake, but just used one egg mix in each one. Baked it in regulation sandwich cake tins.
