Best apple crumble recipe

I have been given some cooking apples & so thought I'd make apple crumble. I haven't made a crumble for years so looking for a good fail safe recipe,I've tended to make too much of the crumble & it goes dry. I can't bear it when it's pappy.

Uncooked crumble mix will freeze.

This is my favourite ever crumble recipe. The crumble is precooked so it's nice and crunchy and you don't get any nasty uncooked bits at the bottom. I cook it for longer than stated, stirring it around on the baking sheet until it's all gone brown.

I don't have any blackberries. They aren't ripe here yet. Could I use more apple do you think?

Absolutely. I often just make it with apples.
