Freezing pancake batter

I was wondering if anyone has frozen pancake batter before and if the pancakes were edible after? I'm going camping this weekend and my son will be celebrating his birthday while we are camping. His favourite breakfast is pancakes and I know I could make them on the morning but it would be much easier if I could make the batter and freeze it in advance?

I don't think that the batter will freeze at all well, but you can make the pancakes ahead, interleave them with greaseproof paper and freeze them, then just quickly reheat them, one at a time (from frozen), in your frying pan on the big night Smile

I'd make them fresh or make and freeze.
Or you could cheat and buy the pancake shake containers....you know add milk close the lid and shake. They taste fine - slightly dodgy ingredients maybe, depends on priorities!
