Just seen an advert for breakfast biscuits and wondered what they will think of next.

Think it might be worth a try. Anyone want to Crowd Fund my idea?

First product - non fat Greek yoghurt ice cream with hazelnuts and raspberries and a crushed shredded wheat topping.

Sounds quite good actually. Smile

Especially on a hot day. Bet the Americans would lap it up Wink

What's in it?

spanky2 · 09/08/2014 22:17

My dcs had pop tarts and ice cream for breakfast one day last week. Nice holiday memory!

gamescompendium · 09/08/2014 22:29

Make it full fat. Low fat yoghurt is the work of the devil.

I had cornflake ice cream on honeymoon and it was lovely! Helped my hangover massively!

Think vanilla Greek yogurt ice cream with crunchy nut topping pot would be nice then.

Mini pots, 6 for £3??

I actually find breakfast biscuits quite useful for several occasions such as

Feeling queasy & not being able to face proper food

Last week during excruciating toothache I are them in the early hours to stop me having to take ibuprofen on an empty stomach

Mid morning Snack for dd whilst she is dancing

Picturesinthefirelight · 09/08/2014 22:40

Dd adores Greek yoghurt for breakfast with fruit & granola (full day though as it has more protein)

BikeRunSki · 09/08/2014 22:44

Local farm ice cream parlour has just brought out eggs and bacon ice cream Hmm. I havn't tried it (veggie).

LakeFlyPie · 09/08/2014 22:50

Love the idea of frozen Greek yogurt and fruit.
I find the breakfast biscuits sickeningly sweet, not sure how much sugar is in them but it must be a shed load. Having said that I happened to peruse sugar content of some breakfast cereal recently (don't often buy it) and was v shocked.
Not sure about egg and bacon ice cream!

In Sicily we have gelato for breakfast inside brioche. It's amazing.

MrsAtticus · 09/08/2014 22:55

I'd buy breakfast pudding, if there is anything remotely pudding like in the house at breakfast time I eat it, but with guilt, if it was called breakfast pudding I wouldn't feel so guilty

ColdCottage · 09/08/2014 23:01

If I make carrot cake I eat it breakfast, lunch and dinner Blush so don't make it very often.

In other countries such as Spain biscuits for breakfast are traditional, not a new marketing idea (normally plain biscuits similar to rich tea).

ColdCottage · 09/08/2014 23:18

Think this would be an easy way to have a happy middle between super sweet and savoury breakfast options in a fun way.

Could go all American and add peanut butter and jam to the yoghurt but then the health factor might go down.

I wouldn't buy breakfast biscuits - what a gimmick....you might as well eat a normal biscuit, I hate all those fake healthy snack bars and stupid pretend healthy breakfast foods - coco pops? You might as well eat a toffee crisp with a glass of milk and a multi vitamin for breakfast!
No problem with homemade ice cream for breakfast maybe low on sugar and additives would be a better angle.

ColdCottage · 10/08/2014 09:28

Mmmmm coco pops.

Dd likes Fig Rolls for breakfast

ColdCottage · 10/08/2014 11:06

Bike, I thought mostly it was people over 60 who even knew what a fig roll was.

I love Fig Rolls! Might grow into them in about 20 years time then...

gamescompendium · 10/08/2014 20:05

I love fig rolls. Or even better those organix fruit sticks that taste like the inside of a fig roll. Yum.

babybat · 10/08/2014 20:08
