Help me choose a new food processor

I am in the market for a new food processor. I was definately going to go for a Magimix 5200 XL as it is the one I always see them use on all the cookery shows and it has a mash/purée attachment which I fancy.

However, the Kitchen 4L is now on the block. I have a KitchenAid stand mixer and this one looks lovely and it dices! But doesn't have a mash purée attachment and I had a different smaller model before and there were multiple problems with the lid and in the end i couldn't replace it (although when it was under guarantee it was replaced twice - excellent customer service) because the particular model I had was discontinued.

So, do I NEED a dicer?

Does anybody have any experience of these two?

And what would you do?

OP I'm exactly in the same boat; have a KitchenAid stand mixer and in the market for a food processor.

Had made up my mind on the exact same Magimix model you mentioned, but now reconsidering after reading your post. Dicing is a HUGE selling point for me and I love my Artisan, so wondering if the processor is just as good.

Bumping to see if anyone can enlighten us.
