I thought I'd try putting it into my muffin tins.
What d'you reckon?

Oh and I'm still looking for the answer to the vinegar secret.

Ooooooooooh do it!

Carmenere · 13/09/2006 09:53

I'm sure it will be yummy in muffin form but I would reduce the cooking time a bit.
The vinegar in muffin thing is just a chemical reaction that helps to aerate them a bit. No secret.

MrsDoolittle · 13/09/2006 09:56

So how do you add it?

I don't know about vinegar... am following the thread though. STILL not made a MLLDC but with DD at school in the mornings, and FLYlady getting me organised, I am planning one in the next couple of weeks!

JackieNo · 13/09/2006 10:07

Someone here uses vinegar instead of eggs when making muffins, but not sure if that's the usual reason?

SoupDragon · 13/09/2006 10:18

Flamesparrow, how can you not have made a LDC? You're a SAHM with nothing better to do.

Snigger

Flamesparrow · 13/09/2006 10:20

Ahh yes, I should have been making them by the caseload in all my spare time

MrsDoolittle · 13/09/2006 10:21

Okay but 4 eggs is alot to substitute for vinegar. And I don't want to ruin the cake completely.
How about putting a dash of white vinegar in aswell as everything else?

OP posts:
Flamesparrow · 13/09/2006 10:27

Sounds like a good idea to me... but I am no master cook...

Carmenere · 13/09/2006 10:28

Yep AFAIK you add a dash of vinegar to help it along

MrsDoolittle · 13/09/2006 11:03

Okay, I'm doing it now. Will post in a bit

OP posts:
MrsDoolittle · 13/09/2006 12:04

They are in the oven.
I have adapted the method a bit, so we shall see

OP posts:
MrsDoolittle · 13/09/2006 12:27

Oh My. They are huge!!

Still baking though.

OP posts:
Flamesparrow · 13/09/2006 16:40

How did they turn out??

MrsDoolittle · 13/09/2006 16:43

Ah well now, I have started another thread.
I thought, although still very nice, they were a bit heavy. I waiting on the judgement of my neighbours after tea. And dh will come storming on a stuff a couple when he gets in.
We'll see.
Maybe I'm just feeling a bit sick after too much muffin/cake mixture?
