there are recipes for chutney online, or have u tried freezing? I imagine i'm going to be begging for ideas soon as well.

Yes to freezing but fancied doing something different too. Chutney would be good

Not really what you asked for, but, runners, bacon, and cooked tomatoes with crusty bread make a delish lunch/supper dish. That's what I'm having this evening.

this is good - have never actually made it with monkfish though Smile

A few years ago my father decided to salt some, as they used to do in the war when they didn't have freezers. He did this because their freezer was full. It used a lot of salt, and he used LARGE Kilner jars. They were really nice, very flavoursome and kept their colour much better than frozen ones.

I put them through a thingy that turns them into long string like shapes, and then eat them instead of spaghetti when I'm in a low carb phase.

This Nigel Slater recipe is very good. I guess it would work just as well with runner beans.

I do this with them...

I soften them with lots of garlic! Delicious! (Must check friends have too many and ask for some ;)

Crispy bacon, runner beans (lots), new pots. Pour bacon far over beans. Ketchup. Yum
