Tesco organic chicken gone bad?

I've just returned the above to Tesco (no problem). Unusually instead of roasting it I decided to take off the breasts first. After the first cut I noticed an area of the breast was yellow in colour with spots and streaks of blood around. Has anyone come across this before, and does anyone know what it might be?
Had I roasted it I shudder to think that I may not have noticed it after cooking.

Dunno but meet does go bad sometimes, especially all wrapped up in plastic like they do in super markets. Blerk!

Wasn't cornfed was it?

What did it smell like? Why did you think it was bad?

There was no unusual smell to it. The part that was yellow was very well defined, and the blood traces were only inside and around the edges of the yellow bit. The impression I got was that the bird might have been unwell with it.

It wasn't cornfed.
