Do you use a self basting roaster (yawn)

DF claims that everyone apart from me uses a self basting roaster like this I am clearly sheltered but I have never seen one before. I just roast meat in a normal roasting dish and sort of wrap it in foil.

I know this is boring, but I am interested. If I own one will it suddenly improve my roast dinners?

argument came after it took me HOURS to roast some beef, he said it would have been quicker to use fancy thing - it took me hours cos I have never roasted beef before and was unsure of what to do!!
