Are bacon ribs only available in the north?

I love em but can't find em darn sarf

I am from the South, have lived in the North, now live in the Midlands and have never heard of bacon ribs. Are they just pork spare ribs or are they cured in some way?

I assume they are cured - they are like pork ribs, but taste like bacon.

OMG they are divine, slow cooked, meat just falls off the bone.

Well I like the sound of those, I will investigate.

ooh, I'm not sure I've had dry cured ones - it says roast or bbq them, whereas I've always had them slowly simmered (as a bacon joint is). I like the sound of the dry cured ones though - might give them a try!

Oh dont start me on bacon ribs. yuk

DH was mithering me for months for them as they are what his nanna used to cook, i had to boil them in a pan and then boil cabbage in the water and he ate the lot.

my grandads irish family lived in Liverpool and EVERY time we went to visit they would MAKE US eat salty bacon chops yuk yuk

Oh I love bacon ribs I'm in Liverpool and just pick them up at the butchers here.
