I need to take a pudding or salad to a BBQ, I'm a very basic cook, can anyone help me? I was thinking ready made meringues with fresh fruit and cream or ready made Brownies - what do you think?

Get a punnet or two of the biggest strawberries you can find. Use a small, sharp knife to take a cone out where the stalk is.

Take a tub of whipping cream and whip. Plonk in a bowl. Tub of plain, full fat Philly and beat it. Gently fold the cream into the philly with a couple of spoons of icing sugar.

Crush some digestive biscuits finely.

Pipe (or if you don't have a piping bag, put into a plastic bag and cut the corner off) the philly/cream mix into the strawberries.

Sprinkle the crumbs over the straberries.

= strawberry cheesecakes!

Wow, that sounds good and I think I could probably do it! Do you put all the strawberries into one bowl or place them individually?

This salsa salad goes well with barbecued meats

The salsa looks good, and a wee bit different - thanks!
