Egg sandwiches .... creme fraiche to bind instead ...

of salad cream/mayo - disgusting or okay for an almost-five year old? Anyone do it?

Havent tried it myself. You could just test a teaspoonful before you make up a whole bowlful and find you dont like it.

Bump ... or what about melted butter? I've only hard-boiled one egg so don't want to waste it! Anyone else with a bright idea or two?!

I used to bind it with a bit of natural yoghurt when mine were littlies.

I use creme fraiche as I'm not keen on mayo, for myself I add chilli too.

Thanks for the ideas Janeite & Lucy ... little rascal told his teacher he didn't like egg sandwiches and the whole thing came home so he didn't have any lunch. Used mayo - just a tiny bit. Back to ham, ham and more ham!
