Cheese for BBQ burger

We are planning a BBQ for sat. Have around 30 people coming.
Doing an online shop now. What cheese would you buy for the burgers? DH suggested just the cheap cheese slices, but I was looking at trying something a bit more sophisticated like a nice Dutch cheese?

I like a processed cheese slice on a burger. SorryBlush

Had to comment! We are big cheese lovers, but for burgers it's got to be cheap (cheaper the betterWink) cheese slices. They're so rubbery and lovely and go all melty. Your DH is correct. Grin

Ooh yes..its the rubbery stringiness that's key.

Excellent saves me some money then! I don't like cheese on a burger more a fried onion girl so I'll take your word for it.

I get the low low slices for burgers absolutely lovely.

I'd go Dutch - I just couldn't by the rubbery stuff it's awful.

Rubber cheese for us too Grin

Either proper plastic cheese or if you want to be more sophisticated Emmental, but you need to melt it on to the burger while its on the bbq to get the full cheesy melty yumminess.
