Is tinned fish ok for dd?

I really want to feed dd more fish but given the lack of fishmongers in this country I suppose I'm going to have to buy frozen or tinned. I was looking at tinned tuna today and couldn't find any without added salt - so, lots of questions really....is tinned tuna ok for an 8mo + any views/ideas re tinned/frozen fish gratefully received.

i give dd (10months) tuna tinned in olive oil which seems low in salt (.2g per can and a can does her two meals) and also buy white fish which has been boned and filleted (could be from fishmonger or supermarket). gave her salmon at six-ish months but she wasn't keen so will try that again soon. organic salmon. i don't give her a lot of tuna because of the mercury but she does like white fish in cheese/parsley/white sauce and eats a lot of that. I am keen to get her to like fish!

I have always bought tuna in spring water since having dd. Its John West tuna isn't it? SOld in most supermarkets - certainly Tesco, Sainsbury and Asda.

tuna in springwater pretty common in supermarkets now i think (m&s also does it? i think..). i just get it in oil because tuna in oil tastes so much better than tuna in water/brine (imo) although it can be cripplingly expensive if adult size tins/jars (£3+ depending where you go!). I get dd john west mini tins in three pack. i kind of figure olive oil is also good for her... wouldn't buy it in sunflower oil. hmm. i didn't know i had such thought out opinions on tuna until tonight! must get out more...
