Herbal tea Replacement for coffee.....

I've read ginseng is a good pick me up tea, but is there really a tea out there that can give one the same kick as coffee and help with concentration etc?? I enjoy the benefits of coffee while they last, but the dip isn't good, so i'm looking for a healthier replacement, but when I'm at work coffee is the only thing that helps me focus when I'm exhausted having been up with the children!

Ps have tried lots of 'pukka' tea blends as well as various other teas but not found what I'm looking for yet.....

Many people rave about matcha green tea powder, it didn't do much for me (back in my 2 shots a day habit and wondering how to give up) but friends sat it worked. Roobibus teas have the most normal taste to me. Yerba mate is also supposed to give you a boost. Let me know if you find anything!

One more - hotel chocolat has started selling pure cacao shots - these could be hard to do from home/if not in a big city but they're claiming all sorts of benefits from them!

I like lemon & ginger for a spicy kick.

I don't think anything can really replace caffeine, but I do find the less you drink caffeine, the less you need it.

I switched to herbal/fruity teas about a year ago as part of a diet, and to get more water into me, and now I hardly ever drink tea or coffee. I craved coffee and tea initially, but this stopped after a month or so. I now find that when I do drink coffee I really feel the effects, and if I drink it after about 4pm, I don't sleep as well.

If you use 2 herbal tea bags at time it helps with the flavour . I had a 2 Pukka ginger tea with a bit of honey it was LOVELY and really gave me a lift! I drink little decaf coffee but it's amazing how I still crave it!

2 mint ones are better too. I sometimes mix them with a 3rd green t bag! I don't leave it in though because that can keep me awake too.
