Good cookbook for children

Dd has enjoyed her food & nutrition lessons at school but she's stopped now as its part if a carousel of subjects. They learnt to cook some simple, inexpensive but nutritious meals.

She's just made her own lunch (barbecue chicken drumsticks ) & she's learnt to make macaroni cheese (was supposed to be pasta carbonara but she doesn't eat bacon.

I'm looking for a simple cookbook for her where she can try out some more stuff.

Any recommendations?

Go to the children's library and see what they have.

I have an Usborne one and Good Housekeeping Kid's book, but they are years old so don't know if they still publish.

How old is your daughter?
Usborne and Dorling Kindersley (sp?) do some good ones, with step-by-step illustrated pictures for younger children. Sam Stern has produced a couple for teenagers (he's a teenager himself)

I forgot Dorling Kindersley- they are probably the best- lovely pictures.

This has great recipes - my 11-year-old loves it.

We bought this at Christmas- www.amazon.co.uk/gp/aw/d/1849493316/ref=mp_s_a_1_1?qid=1401658401&sr=8-1&pi=AC_SX110_SY165

Very easy to follow instructions. Both DC, 11 and 5 years, love it.

It looks a bit young for her.

She's a dancer so would like the emphasis to be on healthy nutritious recipes (school promotes a healthy eating ethos of protein at every meal, slow release carbs & lots of fruit & veg)

The second looks promising

Would recommend Sam Stern too, good recipes and written in a very accessible and cool way which appeals to the younguns!
