Dd loves cheese scones so I'd like to bake some. Can I use yoghurt instead of buttermilk? Does anyone have a foolproof recipe?

I have used semi-skimmed milk quite a few times when making scones. That always seems to work.
Using yoghurt, I guess it would depend on the type and adjusting the quantitites due to the yoghurt having a thicker texture than buttermilk..

You can. I do. Hang on while I try and find recipe.

I'd probs whisk an egg into the yogurt and add gradually. Will be no different to using buttermilk.
Cheese scones all around then...Smile

Lovely, thanks Smile

The yoghurt is full fat greek yoghurt.

Yes, yogurt is great for making scones, I always tend to use it (and me and DD make scones once a week or so I'd say), particularly for cheese scones where you don't want as light a texture as they tend to be a little more dense.
