do eggs that are off smell?

I've got some out of date eggs (10 days - eek) - have cracked open to use up in an omelette but how to know if they are ok?
My assumption is that if they smell or look bad then not to use - but they look ok and don't smell... Am I safe to make a well cooked omelette (with no runny bits)?
thanks

yes
an egg that is off smells awful, you can't miss it!
10 days is nothing

It'll be fine.
Tthere's no mistaking a rotten egg.

Also try immersing them in a cup of water, if they rise to the top don't use.

Will try that next time. Omelette was tasty - def not a problem with them!
