Not earth shaking, I realise, but ds has just eaten a pizza! Never done that before, and has never eaten cheese before. And today he just did it! I am amazed.

That's great hmb. I know how you feel - my DS1 ate pizza recently too!

Really good news hmb! Bet you're over the moon!!

Sounds daft, but it is so nice to have something else that he will eat! And it just came out of the blue.....so one day I may be able to leave the land of chicken nuggets behind!

hmb, it is brilliant if they're picky eaters and suddenly eat something new. Dd recently decided she'd eat egg fried rice which, given her extremely limited palate, was rather exciting to us too! Alas, she won't eat pizza ... which gives me no excuse to have it for tea every day. I LOVE pizza.

That's great hmb. My 5 year old ds has just started eating potatoes (of all things) after refusing to eat them for about 2 years! We're thrilled but trying not to make too big a deal out of it as we don't want to make it something he can wind us up about! Terrible the hold they have over you sometimes isn't it?

Fabulous!

DD ate quiche last night.. (that'll be her first egg that wasn't hidden in a cake). 2 large bits, I thought she was going to explode.
Could be something to do with being at a friends house. So now I know what she needs to eat well - 3 brothers, 1 uncle, and 3 aunties in attendance at every meal.

We had a minor miracle today too. Dd ate broccoli! I've been giving her a few florets faithfully with each meal for around 6 months and she's chucked them on the floor. Today at lunchtime she ate 5! She even called it 'brokka'. Woah ...

Congratulations all of you...DS1 still just ate Alphabites for lunch although the next time he eats something new I will definitely let you all know...expect to hear from me in about 12 years

Isn't it amazing how something so simple can give you such a lift? Ds has always had a limited range of food that he would eat. Dd will eat anything. So it is nice when things change.

It is funny how excited you get when your child eats something new and normal! Ds ate ham and cheese and sweetcorn today and loved it. He ignored the pasta he was supposed to eat and tucked in to what we were having. He has just started eating fruit as well which makes me SO happy and I beam at him whilst trying not to make it look like a big deal!!

DS loves pizza too and asks for it all the time. DH makes it for him and it is great because you can add all sorts to it and hide it under the cheese and he just tucks in!

I am planning on doing the same
